My relationships are either strengthened or weakened by what I say and do.

I don't want to end up alone.

Being a part of a like-minded community provides us with a sense of security.

It is comforting to know we are a part of something bigger than ourselves.

But with this security also comes an expectation to conform.

If a choice we make takes us outside the community’s norms, we might be rejected.

Social pressures quickly become exhausting.

God, through Jesus, entered the world to offer us something better.
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30

Love that lasts

You can be freed from the fear of rejection by accepting God’s invitation through Jesus.

You may think, "If I choose to follow Jesus, I will lose many of the people I care about."

It’s true. You might... You may even be mocked or insulted for what you believe.

“Then, is following God really worth it?”

The struggles we face from devoting ourselves to God, through faith in Jesus, are nothing compared to his eternal promises.

Jesus said:
“God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”
Matthew 5:10

You are never alone

When we choose to follow Jesus, God’s Spirit adopts us into his eternal family.

His Spirit will live in you and give you the peace, strength, comfort, and courage that you need, if you will trust him.

There is nothing he desires more than to have a personal, intimate relationship with you.
